Bushnell Range Finder Reviews
Quick Links
Bushnell is one of the biggest names in golf rangefinders. They've been around for a while, and they are trusted and used by many professional golfers and caddies. One research firm that is well respected concluded that 97% of pros and their caddies on the PGA tour and 96% of pros and their caddies on the LPGA tour use Bushnell range finders. Those numbers are hard to argue with.
There are good reasons for Bushnell's popularity amongst the best golfers in the world. They are known for creating some of the best quality range finders out there. They are also consistently at the head of the market in technology and ease of use. There's a lot to like about Bushnell as a company, but let's see how each of their rangefinder models held up in our testing.

Bushnell PRO X3 Rangefinder
Review
We might as well start with the best – the Bushnell PRO X3. Not only is the PRO X3 loaded with features, its features outperformed every other finder we tested across all brands.
The PRO X3 is completely waterproof. Not just water or rain resistant. Waterproof. It also comes with a slope feature…on steroids. In addition to the slope angle, it takes into account the temperature and the barometric pressure when calculating the distance. What does this mean? It means it's the most accurate rangefinder out there, up to 1300 feet. The slope feature easily turns on and off with a switch.
Another feature is what Bushnell calls JOLT vibration and visual JOLT. It displays a pulsing red ring through the optics and vibrates when you have locked successfully onto the flag. This is a surprisingly great feature that provides reassurance that you've gotten the correct distance.
One of our favorite features is the magnetic technology that allows the PRO X3 to attach to the cart bar quickly and easily. Before using it, we thought this feature was rather gimmicky. After using it, however, we came to realize how convenient and useful this feature is.
If you want the best of the best, regardless of the price, this is your rangefinder. It's expensive, but it was the most accurate and feature rich distance finder we tested.

Bushnell Hybrid Range Finder
Review
The Bushnell Hybrid is a unique rangefinder, in that it is a laser range finder and a GPS finder all rolled into one. It is currently the only device on the market that displays both GPS and laser distances through its optics. We actually found this extremely useful. Most of the time, the GPS measurements were all we needed. But when we really wanted to zero in on the pin, the laser came in very handy.
JOLT technology causes the rangefinder to pulse when locked onto the target. This feature is really cool and provides peace of mind that you retrieved the correct distance.
The Bushnell Hybrid comes with more than 35,000 courses loaded and is equipped with Bluetooth that automatically detects the course you are on and the hole you are playing.
The combination of GPS and Laser measurements makes this range finder a legitimate player in the field of distance finders. There is no slope feature, so you must weigh that against having a laser/GPS combo finder.

Bushnell Tour V6 Laser Rangefinder
Review
The Bushnell Tour V6 Shift is Bushnell's least expensive finder with slope technology. It takes into account slope angles on uphill and downhill shots for more accurate distance measurements. The slope feature easily turns on and off with a switch, making it legal for use in tournament play.
The Tour V6 Shift is equipped with Bushnell's JOLT technology, which confirms you have locked onto the pin by vibrating in short pulses in your hand. This feature is great and oddly comforting.
The V6 Shift is a solid golf rangefinder and is one of the best entry level range finders with a truly accurate slope feature that we tested. It's the lightest rangefinder Bushnell offers. The range and accuracy are also great, making this a top pick for those searching for a mid-tier finder.

Bushnell Tour V5 Golf Rangefinder
Review
The Bushnell Tour V5 offers impressive range and accuracy, especially considering it is Bushnell's entry level rangefinder offering (it is miles above many other brands' entry level finders).
Jolt Technology, common among all Bushnell distance finders, provides confirmation that you have successfully locked onto the pin by vibrating in your hand. We really like this feature.
The Tour V5 has the greatest range and accuracy of all of the non-slope range finders we tested. If you can live without the slope feature (most golfers will be completely fine without it), this is a great, high quality tool that we can fully endorse.
